In May, we proudly hosted our inaugural Afribond X Barclays Eagles Lab: Derisking Investments in Africa. The event was a complete sell-out and an outstanding success.

Distinguished speakers including Parminder Vir OBE, Gosbert Chagula MBE, and Petri Kuusisto shared their expertise on navigating and optimizing investments within the African market. Attendees gained first-hand insights into the venture capital landscape, innovative strategies from both emerging startups and established corporations, and the broader trends shaping Africa’s economic future.

The programme also featured a specialised presentation on Nigerian infrastructure delivered by Ugi Augustine Ugi, Group President of Nugi Group, highlighting the opportunities and challenges within one of Africa’s most dynamic markets.
